Week 5
Second last night of the Week 5 of E-Campaign -- saddened by the thought that tomorrow will be my last day with the Cagayan de Oro Chapter.
"How I wish I could have the chance to do a mass evangelism!" crossed my mind perpetually. Even though that was my desire, didn't dare pray for
it to happen as I was afraid it would be an answered prayer.
Last day of Week 5 -- Was assigned to team leader, Pastor Ian with three others to school in the rural area for room to room Gospel sharing sessions. As we reached the first high school in the early morning, all the students were gathered for school assembly and it appeared mass evangelism would be a more appropriate option which was subsequently agreed to by the principal.
Encouraged by Pastor Ian, there I was on the stage, empowered by the Holy Spirit, fearlessly and unashamedly sharing the gospel of Christ, the power of God unto salvation. Even when it started to drizzle half way through my sharing, the mass of students moved onto the stage for shelter instead of running elsewhere. I could feel a strong sense of God's presence in the midst. Decision was called for and estimated 80% responded to Jesus.
God uses weak vessels and as one stepped out in faith, God honoured and enabled.
This year--my third consecutive e-Campaign, and my memorable first mass evangelism.
Someone asked if I will go back for more next year, my immediate response "Well! why not?"

"Are you ready?" . . . that was the theme of this year's e-campaign, and to be honest, I wasn't fully ready to go and share the gospel.
My heart was distracted by other things and I remember telling God that I didn't want to share in that current province, and would He please work in me so that I could be used by Him. And He did.
God showed Himself strong every single day throughout the week! The first day, I was nervous and scared all over again at the thought of facing a classroom. God just reminded me that He had not given me the spirit of fear, but of power and sound mind, and I just needed to trust in Him and not myself or my past experiences. I thank God for helping me through every sharing opportunity because I couldn't have done it on my own.
On the third day, I had the opportunity to travel to the remote mountains of CDO. The view was amazing. By observing the beauty and sheer awesomeness of the scenery around me, I was again reminded of how creative and great God was. The mountain children were a blessing to my heart as they were attentive and open to the sharing of the word, and their simple faith declared at the end of every sharing session humbled me greatly.
Despite the brevity of my trip, I thank God for the opportunity to go back to CDO again to proclaim the good news along with the rest of the team. To God be the glory!

Day 41: Saturday's Prayer Requests

Prayer Requests:
13 Mass Evangelism Meetings on Saturday! A lot of driving, some are quite a distance away.
Also, on Saturday there are many folks travelling:
- The Binders are heading home to Colorado. There are some complications with their tickets so please pray that the LORD provide exactly what they need! Mrs. Binder has been suffering with some serious pain, please pray for a safe and comfortable flight for them.
- GLCC Team Light is heading back to Singapore.
- A-Team Western Slopers Art, Ron and Linda are heading home to Grand Junction, CO.
- A-Teamers Cassidy and Tyler are both heading to California.
Please remember to pray as the SMCians have already begun outreaches and discipleship sign-up in taking the next step in the Great Commission!
Rejoicing at the great opportunities, the many who heard and just at how great is our LORD!

One Million People Have Heard!
While considering all that the LORD has done during this wonderful campaign, it was realized that an exciting milestone was passed today!
As of today, 8 August 2012, the LORD has allowed
STUDENT MOVEMENT
FOR CHRIST INTERNATIONAL (SMCI)
with the help of visiting teams from 11 countries of the world
to preach the Gospel to over 1,000,000 people in the combined yearly Evangelistic Campaigns! Thank you LORD! Push us forward to all the campuses! Allow us to take
Christ to every campus in the Philippines and beyond!
